Summer Fishing Report - Lower Laguna Madre

Summer Fishing Report - Lower Laguna Madre

Fish are moving out deep and staying there most time of the day as summer heat is in full effect. Trout fishing has been good in the lower laguna as we have found solid trout ranging from 18-25 inches in belly deep sand pockets. KWigglers Mansfield Margarita Ball Tail tied to a quarter ounce screw lock jig head has been our go-to lure of choice. Redfish have been found in good numbers. Early morning you can find redfish to be in shallow water 1-2ft, but most summer days 3-4ft water with a mud shell bottom will hold the best redfish bite. Kwiggler plum chartreuse ball tail tied to a 1/8 screw lock jig head slow jig off the bottom has been the technique of choice.
