Capt Bruce Baugh
Calcasieu report
I recently had Brian Ko,Joe Pena,Lou Nufer and Jason Bennett down for two days.We started out on the east bank and were forced to leave due to a howling south wind.We caught one 3 lb trout there.
We then went to the south shoreline to get out of the wind.We then came to a drain that was coming out of the marsh. At the drain we saw red,red fish that is.We hammered the reds for several hours. We probably caught and released over 20 reds each. When it was over we felt like they hammered us.
On day 2 the wind layed and we went to a shoreline that had been holding some good trout. We all caught several specks each that averaged over 4 lbs, including one pushing the 8 lb mark that Brian caught. All of the trout were released to fight another day.Fishing has been hot between the fronts.See pics on photo section...ph#337=660-1814 We were wadefishing
