As yet another cold front is racing towards Big Lake,I wonder what happened to our warm weather?Last year at this time azaleas were in full bloom and my lawn mower was on ready.So what for global warming!
As for the fishing here on Calcasieu,it has been good between the blows.We are still on a winter pattern although we had a pretty good topwater bite a week or so ago.We had several 8 lb class specks caught on mirrorlure topdogs and I heard of a 9 and 10 pounder caught also.We are getting them on corkies or catch 2000 lures most of the time.Joe Meyer, of FTU had one of the 8 pounders and we thought he had a good picture of the fish until we made it in.I am not sure if it was the camera or the photagrapher.Something not workee...
Well spring is coming and every year at this time I get nervous thinking about big yellowmouth shaking her head.Check out the photo I posted over on the photo section.Now that is a head shaker!!!
