With the passage of last weeks strong cold front our fishing here on Big Lake turned on.The water temperature dropped to 67 degrees. The frontal system pushed the water out of our marsh and a mother load of shrimp came along.
We experienced several banner days of working the birds.I had 2 boats out and Capt Tom Adams and I had limits or near limits. It did not seem to matter what we threw at them.We used soft plastics and topwaters.Topwaters caught the bigger fish but were harder to remove the hooks for another quick cast.Bigger trout are making their move to the shorelines for those willing to wade, which is my preferred method.
The Flounder are staging at their usual drains and flats for the fun run... Wow I love to fish in the fall !!!
I can be reached at 337-660-1814.My website is being reconfigured. Good fishin...
