The past weeks fishing has seemed to pickup coming up to the last full moon. Good number of trout are starting to show up in Matagorda Bay around the shipping lane spoils and along the shoreline of Matagorda Panizula. Sunday and Monday we did well on reda and trout using the new Attraxx soft plastics in chartruse colors on trout and the black/chartruse and rootbeer/chartruse on reds up to 26 inches. Wind has been pretty high lately and has kept us mainly stuck to the protected shorelines. Top water bite has been on and off, but worth the effort. Water temp. sunday was 71 degrees. Our trout count went down Sunday when a 5 foot bull shark took 3 nice trout and a 12 dollar stringer off on our last wade. Time for the floating ice chests. More fishing news and adventures later.
